When was the last time we got deals done as early as this summer? It’s only the 6th. I think we’ll still see 2/3 come in we just have a budget and need to negotiate hard.

We absolutely need 2/3 more especially at full back and a midfielder

I think if we get a long term right back replacement (tchatchoua) a cm/dm (Phillips/Melo) and another winger (Gnonto/Habib) then it’ll be the best transfer window we’ve had in my lifetime. It would make us really competitive. What we have now is OK and we’d do alright

I just don’t see it? We aren’t close to OK? Maybe it’s just Everton wearing me down and being overly negative

We’ve doubled down on Dyche-ball

From the back it’ll be long ball to… well… DCL? There’s nobody who’ll take it off the defence and pass forward. There’s no target man to hit? We’ll be hitting record lows for possession…

Whats the plan to score? Set pieces. And pressing high and trying to win it back, still the issue of nobody to stick it in the net though? Signed some hard working attacking mids/wingers to press then run back and defend then run up and press again

We’re relying on being supremely hard to break down again and pinch 1-0s . It’s going to be a long painful slog of horrible anti-football, and I can’t see that being sustainable over the season

We'd have finished 12th last season, level on points with Brighton had it not been for the points deductions.

I'd argue we're slightly stronger as a squad than last season albeit not much different in terms of the starting 11.

There's no reason to think we shouldn't be ok again this season as things stand, but hopefully there's a couple more through the door before the end of the window.

I think any business we do now will be late and more opportunistic.

A lot will depend on sales, DCL, Maupay, Holgate, Keane, Doucoure I could all see moving if a fee was offered.

Or potentially I guess we now have 3 good CBs so we could move Branthwaite to LB if needs be for a few games.

Can’t be moving Jared to left back would be wasted there McNeil might do a job there but it’s madness if we don’t get proper cover in

I don’t think we look that bad.

Stronger in the attacking areas by quite a bit and defensively.

Would be nice to get some full back cover in but I think we’ll be fine in that area.

Need a midfielder badly. I worry PSR Tim isn’t anywhere near good enough but might end up playing a lot of games.

I have a lot of faith in Dyche’s ability to get something out of horrible fullbacks (see: Bardsley, Phil).

I do think it would be great if we had the money for someone like Wan Bissaka to turn our first choice backline into a complete defensive powerhouse.

Add in a forward who can win headers and hold the ball up a bit and that’s a recipe for a comfortable midtable finish, midfield or not.
