Would you take those 2 finals over the last few years ?
If they bought Tottenham this comparison with Roma is relevant, it's like chalk and cheese with us. They won the conference League, I'd take it, but it's not all that, with a team that was previously in or around the champions League places and Jose has proven he can do that anywhere.

It's not like they turned them from relegation fodder into European champions, and if you actually look at their league finishes under TFG they've actually not finished higher than they did prior to them coming in, they've also failed FFP. Despite the European win, on the pitch, they've actually regressed and currently sit 12th, that's largely down to the decisions they've made, I'm not sure we can take a similar trajectory.

It's well known though that he leaves clubs in a right mess, if you want to build something sustainable you don't hire Mourinho. They've ballsed up the aftermath of sacking him but appointing him was a questionable decision even if he did reach two European finals.

Our situation isn't the same as theirs so swapping our last 2 seasons isn't really comparable. I know I'd want us to think long term and appoint a sensible choice and build sustainably though not hire Mourinho.

For me there’s a few “hmmm’s” rather than massive red flags. Can understand the skepticism though. Like with Moshiri though (I know!) I’ll be giving them the benefit of the doubt. But deffo not diving in the deep end and putting them on a pedestal like I did when those bunch of criminals rode into town!

Josimar article here which nods towards money laundering involving 777.

Pretty interesting reading that tbf - and we dodged the biggest bullet of all by not going through with 777 partners it seems

Luck more than judgement. If Moshiri had his way we'd be royally fucked now as he wanted it to go through, probably one of the things we need to be slightly appreciative to the Premier League for putting obstacles in the way of the completion, as without that who knows where we would be now. Although their legacy is still problematic, and might be why we didnt have that many offers due to the complexity of navigating all the loans Moshiri had with some very dodgy companies

Odds on dyche leaving next have tumbled today. From 25/1 to 12/1. Could mean something is imminent. (Admittedly Also could mean nothing)

It's only SkyBet have him that low, everyone else still has him between 18 and 25/1 and around 7th favourite, even Postecoglou's above him.

A tweet went round today from a possibly wannabe itk saying dyche out was quickening pace.

Might have just taken a little nudge off that.

Josimar article here which nods towards money laundering involving 777.
"AS Roma owner Dan Friedkin, who now hopes to complete his own takeover of the Merseyside club by the end of the year, has done a deal to repay just 66 million pounds of this in cash, with the rest in preferred equity and warrants, as revealed by Josimar last month. But that transaction is still subject to the whims of a New York judge who granted Leadenhall an injunction against the disposal of assets once belonging to 777 Partners at anything less than fair value. At a court hearing last month, the judge ruled that this transaction was within the scope of that injunction, but told Leadenhall they would need to raise an objection to it before he would rule on whether or not it constituted an actual breach of the injunction.

Leadenhall has yet to formally object, but wants to be fully apprised of the terms of the deal before it makes a judgement on whether or not to do so, and a person familiar with the matter told Josimar that A-CAP has still not fully responded to basic information requests around the transaction. It is a messy, complicated situation, and Everton fans will hope that the news of criminal subpoenas being issued does not spook an investor who walked away once already citing issues with this loan. For Friedkin, there remain several remedies. Leadenhall could raise no objection. The court could rule in A-CAP’s favour. The case could be thrown out on appeal. Or Friedkin could renegotiate the deal. But right now it remains a sticking point in his takeover, and an issue for A-CAP. "

A bit concerning as it's still left open to challenge. Presume TFG have factored in the risk of this not being accepted.
