I don't like Matt Hughes but he has been spot on about all our financial shit for a while. He's a doom and gloom merchant but his sources are good.

He's been wide of the mark more often than not - remember us being sued for £300m, needing a fire sale throughout the squad, the stadium being unfunded/unfinished? He speculates wildly using tabloid reporting headlines and techniques, knowing his reports are open-ended enough that they cover every eventuality.

I really think there would be riots if a points deduction sent us down in the last season at Goodison.

I'm just not worried about it.
The Premier League allege £6.5million, which was attributed to new stadium interest payments, should be added to the club’s spending for the 2022-23 campaign as it was used for day-to-day running costs.
Everton were already docked two points for a £16million overspend in the 2022-23 campaign.

Surely it wouldn't lead to more points at all (if it were fair) 2 points for 16m. Not having it would be more jad the extra few million been counted at the same time
