I pretty much agree although the bottom three could be joint bottom. I can't really accept Lampard was better than anyone. I had very low expectations of him and he fell well short of them in the end...and was a tory dickhead.

Nahhhhh. Hoof it up the pitch and hope for it to fall to one of your players, then hoping that player is unchallenged, then hoping he can also smash it in from 25 yards. That’s the only way to get any points in this league

He’s gets in above Rafa and allardyce just because he actually achieved something in keeping us up that season but those three were all terrible.

The ones above have some redeeming features at least.

I don’t think any of them did a good job in reality.

I still struggle to believe his presence in the dugout that year we stayed up was anything above coincidence. I think with no manager and the team picked out of a tombola we'd have stayed up more comfortably than we did.

His tactics were shit but I think a mix of his good vibes, Richarlison on fire and incredible fan support created something that when mixed together was just about enough.

I think his good vibes extended to "not being Benitez" and that was about it. Anyone of us could have done that role I reckon.

Hard to put some of them in order. Think benitez lampard and martinez were all incompetent. Martinez escapes with his reputation because we had a genuinely good team so he could only fall so far. The whole list though is god awful and bloody expensive. We've had some of the highest paid managers in world football

I'd probably have dyche first but for him to stay there he might need to leave soon. Honestly the whole thing is just endless misery

Think both lampard and benitez were both lucky here. Performances were worse than the results. We deserved even less than they produced. They both should have relegated us

Carlo is above Dyche, i understand he had a much easier job, but i enjoyed Everton when he was in charge i really dont with Dyche.

I agree. Maybe N’diaye as the right winger and cutting inside with Patterson pushing on. McNeil/Harrison off the left and a new manager in the dugout

The first couple of months was brilliant but the latter part of Ancelotti’s season when we were playing CB’s as full backs was just as dire as it is now. We were horrible to watch then and we’re horrible to watch now.

Way better to watch than now.

I personally think Allardyce is viewed more for his personality, than his record, and would've done ok, given the opportunity, but he was never going to get that cause of who he is and what people think he represents. I bet the football would be a lot more palatable under Allardyce than it is now, and the results would be better too
