It's worse than that, we bank the £10m this season and continue to take the £5m hit per year going forward on the books
A shit deal and not ideal, but with the debt and interest payments being written off, £5m a year going forward isn’t a concern for the PSR
What we do need desperately is cash right now to give us some wiggle room to do some business in January

It wouldn't be 5m a year going forwards if we sold him. The whole lot minus what we've paid and the fee we get would come off PSR right away.
Bought him for 25. Paid 5 sold for 10. Wed lose 10m right away against PSR but save the 5m a year after that
That's right isn't it?

Not many strikers from foreign leagues do well these days.
Eh? Out of the top leading scorers this year only 3 are English

Just look at the glut of strikers signed over the years for around £20m who have failed.
Quite a lot of them end up going back home after a year or two and start to score again.
Teams like Everton signing a striker from a foreign league for £20m are always running a massive risk.

I'm not sure I'm understanding you here mate but do you mean we'd pay the remaining money to Udinese the moment we sold him?
If so I'm not sure that's how it usually works but could be wrong.

Not to udinese but on our accounts in terms of ffp. I think selling him for a loss would see us worse off in the short term ffp wise than just keeping him

Torino have tightened contacts with Everton to sign Beto in the January transfer window, according to Tuttosport.
The news outlet reports (31 December) that the Serie A outfit are working on a deal as the Toffees seek a £13million obligation in a potential loan offer.
As for the striker, he has already said yes to the possible transfer after being dissatisfied with his lack of minutes at the Merseyside outfit.
The Guinean’s camp have asked the Blues to sanction his exit in the winter window

Is correct, would lessen the amount that we could then spend in January.

It’s always a big risk signing a striker.
Especially so when you barely create any open play chances.

Iirc correctly, Rogers’ Liverpool mainly just lumped it forward, but the sheer quality and relentlessness of ratboy made it look like they were creating loads of chances from open play, whereas in reality they just had an elite finisher who could also pull a cruise missile out the air and control it instantly.

Get Ferguson on loan... can't see the point in buying if changing the manager

Seems devoid of confidence. Saw him play against Leicester and he was barely involved in a team that was dominating the ball.
Don’t think he’d do any better in these conditions.
