People still wanted rid of him before a ball was kicked this season though. Now people are allowed any opinion they like. They aren't allowed to rewrite history and say if they were confident he'd keep us up they'd have wanted him to see the season out.

But yes if he'd won 3 or 4 we drew in that run got another 8 points and finished 7th or 8th without deductions he might have gotten a bit longer before the calls for him to be sacked

Yes, preconceived ideas of Sean Dyche exist. In fact, some of them are part of the reason he got the job, and some of them are part of the reason he will get positive PR from pros on the media following his sacking.

Yes, I think had he won more games the calls for him to be sacked would have been infinitely fewer, and the idea a few on here didn't like him regardless of his performance last year is a really odd lifeboat to cling to. Had he won more games we'd have been discussing his absolutely disgusting, regressive, backwards football on here still for sure, but the calls for him to go would have been a minority to say the least.

This club has to stop being romantic and looking behind its shoulders getting nostalgic and actually believe we will find the solution in our past. Howard Kendall had no chance to replicate his success because football had evolved. Moyes has no chance today as football has evolved.

Reason behind Everton's struggles is because we have never evolved with the game. We've been romantic. We've been old fashioned. In the years after Kendalls glory days football changed heavily and we didn't change with it. I remember David Moyes coming into the club young and fresh with new ideas but his ideas is old today.

Stuttgart in Germany is like Everton in England. A big club with a proud history and horrible results in later years UNTIL - Sebastian Hoeneß came along. He took over as Stuttgart was in a similar position and he made them overachieve by a mile last season. There is a lot of similarities and I for sure would rather hope for such an appointment than the romantic David Moyes signing.
